Summary:

The Server-Assistant is a hybrid role for qualified candidates to move into serving roles in an expedited fashion through hard work, consistent performance and excellent guest interaction. Server Assistants ensure that all tables are clean and properly set while also assisting the Food Runner when necessary. Server Assistants work closely and maintain excellent communication with servers to deliver friendly and professional service. Server Assistants learn to operate the Host Stand to gain knowledge of our POS System from to-go orders to have a smooth transition to serving. Transition period based on performance ranges from 3-18 months.


Responsibilities


• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Know and live the mission and the White Lodging/brand basics. Understand Hotel Improvement Plan.
• Complete assigned set-up, side work and closing duties.
• Ensure all tables are clean and properly set within the shortest amount of time possible.
• Greeting guests in a warm and professional manner
• Understand and comply with uniform standards
• Knowledgeable of both food and beverage menu
• Communicating 86’d items, specials and upsell items
• Expediting and delivering food and beverage items to guests
• Completing side work duties and cleaning tasks
• Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage delivery (coffee, wine, water etc.)
• Ensure that side stations are adequately stocked, and equipment is clean
